Announcements

1/5/24- Snow reminder ❄️ Please try to keep vehicles OFF the street so that the plow truck can remove all the snow. The board understands if you have a steep driveway and have to park on the street in order to get out but if possible the streets should be clear.

2/27/24- Garbage Cans- Complaints were brought up to CHIA in regards to garbage cans at the road for extended periods. All cans should not be stored at the road weekly for more than 48 hours. The cans detract from the beauty of our neighborhood. Thanks in advance for everyone’s cooperation.

2/27/24- Dog Owners- Please remember that dogs should be leashed at all times if your yard is not fenced in. This is a danger to other pets and residents walking in the neighborhood. If you see this happening, please notify the dog warden and sheriff. The board has no responsibility in this matter. Please be a responsible pet owner.

8/16/25- CHIA will hold a drive thru vote regarding the proposed assessment. Everyone should have received information and a ballot in their mailbox. The vote is Sept. 5th from 7-8pm at 36 Clinton.

8/17/25- UPDATED ASSESSMENT VOTING- This change was requested today at the meeting and was also posted on Facebook. Ballots can be submitted ONLY on Friday, September 5th. You may either: Drop your ballot off with a board member (please coordinate with them ahead of time to ensure they are available), or bring it directly to 36 Clinton between 7:00–8:00 PM.

8/20/25- Today around lunch, Mike Strama contacted the board with a recommendation to add more rock to fully cover the section of hillside he’s working on. After placing rock 12’ high at the bottom, water would have been able to get behind the wall and potentially erode the hill. The additional rock is to help prevent that from happening. This would add $3,500 in material and delivery costs, he is not charging us labor. This approach matches the way Savage completed the repair farther up the hill and will provide stronger protection against erosion. To avoid extra costs later (such as bringing equipment back to the site and labor costs), the CHIA Board of Directors held an executive phone meeting this afternoon and voted to approve the additional work. Per the bylaws (Article VI, Section 2), the board may approve expenses under $5,000 without a full membership vote.
